Interview process was lengthy and fairly challenging, but also fair and transparent. I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter within a few business days. After a quick 30 minute touch base - a call with a hiring manager was scheduled for the next day. That call was also 30 minutes and involved a few behavioral questions. 2 days later - the recruiter let me know that they’d like to move me to the final round (90 minutes, panel interview + role play/case study). That was scheduled two weeks out, and I appreciated the time to prepare. They also provided a very helpful document that outlined every behavioral question I would be asked, case study parameters, and contact info for LI employees I could optionally connect with to prepare.
The final interview was a good experience. It was long - but the interviewers were polite and upbeat. They asked plenty of probing questions - but nothing unfair. After that interview, it took me about a week and a half to hear back from the recruiting team. They scheduled a call, in which they presented an offer. From there, it took another 24 hours to finalize negotiating TC details (5 weeks from initial contact to offer letter). All in all one of the better and more organized hiring experiences I’ve encountered.

1) HR convo, 1) written interview component (3 questions answered with a doc and sent to hiring manager), 3) 30 mins hiring manager interview, 4) case study presentation to a 3 person panel interview. Hefty data analysis compared to other companies with similar role; with 1 hour final interview (30 mins allocated to presentation). Questions were fair and prep time was adequate. Expectations were outlined fairly by HR partner.

Challenged me on my thinking with case study. It was a fair question and I got to show my critical thinking skills

There is a 3 step process to interviewing at LinkedIn:
- Screening call with recruiter
- Panel interview with hiring managers
- Presentation of a case study
After a positive first-round interview with the recruiter I was scheduled to meet with the hiring team. The call last around 45 minutes and was with two managers. I found the questions they asked straight-forward enough but was put off by the male hiring manager constantly speaking over the female hiring manager. It was evident that he was senior to her, and the behavior came across as disrespectful and tone-deaf. Although the interview went okay, I sensed there wasn't quite a fit with my expertise and the person the team were looking to hire. Ultimately I never received a follow-up from the recruiter or hiring managers which added to the unprofessional experience of the interview process.
Lastly, after doing my own research of the wider CSM team, I was concerned with what was obviously a lack of diversity across the department.

The hiring manager recruited me through LinkedIn, we had a 15-minute call, and she scheduled me with the recruiter, and then he ghosted me. This was a 30-minute call that I thought had gone well. After my second follow-up email, I got a bounced email saying his email no longer exists.
