"The entire interview process took over two months, from the initial HR call to the final decision, even though I was initially told it would typically last around four weeks. Throughout the process, I was contacted by three different HR representatives, sometimes receiving the same messages multiple times. This caused confusion about who to respond to and created a rather unstructured impression of the coordination. Regarding the interview language, I was informed during the first call that the process would be conducted in English. However, during the hiring manager interview, I was unexpectedly told that a near-native level of German was “critical” for the role. This was quite surprising, as I had prepared all materials and the case study in English according to HR’s instructions. Additionally, some scheduling inconsistencies made the process unnecessarily stressful, for example, interviews were sometimes planned outside my indicated availability, and one interview was canceled only 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Rescheduling took several days, which slowed down the process even further. The case study stage was also not clearly briefed. I reached out to HR for clarification on expectations (e.g., whether calculations or budget planning were required) but never received a response. Later, during the presentation, I was told that certain elements (like colors or numbers) were missing- though these had never been specified beforehand. Overall, while I appreciated the opportunity to meet several team members and learn more about company marketing direction, the process felt disorganized and inconsistent. Candidates invest significant time and effort into multiple rounds and case studies, so clearer communication and alignment between HR and the hiring team would make a big difference. Unfortunately, my experience left me with the impression that candidate experience and communication structure could be significantly improved, especially given Uber's global reputation as an innovative and people-driven company."
3 dazs after i got rejection with a reason "another candidate", they updated the job posting- what doesn't show transparency about real rejection reasoning.
