Hatte 3 Telefonate und 1 Gespräch vor Ort. Alles relativ Positiv gelaufen, ausgeschlossen dass das Gespräch sehr Kurzfristig verschoben ist und ein Ansprechpartner gar nicht zum Termin gekommen bin. Hat am Ende ein Angebot bekommen (nach 5 Wochen Wartezeit nach Gespräch) für 30% weniger als (2-Mal kommunizierte) Minimum Gehalts ebene. Ins Gesamt ein Unprofessionelle Vorgehensweise.

Talked with Recruiter via email - interview was set up with Hiring Manager (took 3 weeks).
Skype Interview with Hiring Manager was great. Discussed next steps as I would be told I would interview with another colleague.
Didn't hear anything after 6 weeks even after 2 follow up emails. Third follow up email, I got a response 3 days later from another recruiter and was told looking for more junior, which took 2 more days to get that answer.
All in all took roughly 3mos to let me know that they want to hire a junior. This process of recruitment is ridiculous and just killed Zalando's reputation as an organization.
- If you wanted to Junior change the job description overall. Takes no more than 2 weeks to align on RnR with hiring managers.
- If you wanted to save time, hire within instead of posting.
- Be clear about your organizational matrix and the needs for hires - Junior or Senior or just experienced.
- If you want to build good teams with quality from a recruiting perspective, there's one thing that doesn't require actual skill but has the most effectiveness. Just show up and make an effort.
- Don't post updated listings with the same Job Description eg. Mid to Senior level after you told a candidate, we want Junior.
Simply put, I don't mind waiting 3mos to 5 years on an result. But not being able to communicate with simple updates within a reasonable timeline is simply unacceptable and disrespectful to the candidates and me who take the time and effort to go through this process.
Recruiters are the first line defense in the organization's reputation. Common courtesy and professionalism should be mandated for even interns to c-level.
For Christ sakes, I can revamp your recruiting department in 3 mos while taking a crap, and give u quality ROI of hires and candidates, while building your approval rating. How? Just show up, be respectful and communicate. Takes no skill.
My recommendation for future candidates who want to apply as Producer, this process is an indicator of how the organization will actually be. That said, Zalando approval rating of 2 is correct and should be considered because the frustration that will occur will not be worth it in the end. Will never recommend this company to anyone. And never apply again.

well planed 1 hour of skype interview. Then suddenly 3 days after I get a call asking me if I have a few minutes to talk. This was a simple call that included only questions like "Did you apply for more than one position at Zalando" and stuff like do you want to know more about the company.
Few days later I called them up to know the status of my skype interview and the HR replied that I cleared the skype interview and should get call for the final round face to face.
Then suddenly that evening the lady who called me over phone ring me up again and said that the sudden telephonic conversation that we had was actually a kind of secret interview and I am rejected on the basis of the following 2 points
1 I applied to more than one position
2 I did not ask her question about zalando
Seriously Zalando has some stupid recruiters in Berlin office.
I really feel pity for the recruiters of zalando because they lack common sense.
