The interview process was very long but everyone at Upwork is very nice and rooting for you throughout the interview process. However, they don't do a good job in assessing experience and fit, which can be a time suck. My interview process started with screener, hiring manager, HW, meeting with exec. I didn't get that role due to experience (which they should've known in screener and HW) so they suggested another role. I went through a similar process with hiring manager, exec, on-site with ~5 people. I didn't end up getting the position due to experience (same as before). My suggestion - they don't do a good job in assessing past experience and fit. Make sure you do it yourself before moving forward with the interviews and spending ~2 months interviewing! Overall, good company and communication was great.
