The interview process consisted of 6+ interviews in total, multiple phone and video and on-site. The communications and organization during the process were lacking. In the end, the hiring team had an unrealistic compensation expectation for the position. In fact, this entire months-long process ended up being a complete waste of time because the recruiter I was working with was given bad information on salary available. It seems to me now that this was a purposeful attempt to give a low ball offer, and that this interviewing process was not done in good faith.
I would warn anyone against getting suckered into a terrible commute for a job paying WELL less than market rate.
