I am sorry this candidate didn't have a good experience, but do feel differently about the experience from our perspective. I remember this interview well and thought we had an interesting and engaging conversation. During the interview, I vividly remember asking her to show existing work, but in all honestly, she didn't have a lot to share in the moment that was more long-form, which was an important part of this role; her focus was more campaign driven. We even followed up via email asking specifically to see more long-form work samples, which she supplied, so we certainly were interested in skills and experience. It isn't unusual that I would ask about why an employee wants to leave their current position. We place a high value on cultural fit and want to make sure that Interactive Strategies can provide a fulfilling place to work. One of the best ways to know that is to understand what they don't like in their current role and what they want in the new role. Anyway, for this particular role there wasn't a match, but I did think the experience was a positive one and enjoyed meeting this candidate. As a matter of fact, we kept her resume on file should we decide to hire someone more creative and campaign driven. We wish her the best.
