      The worst interview experience I 've had so far in my career. The process had 5 stages, 5 hours in total. The first step was a 30-minute interview with the HR manager. The second one was a draining 1-hour interview with the Country Manager with a Senior team member. The Country Manager asked me a bunch of questions that didn't always correspond to the role and questioned my every answer. From my perspective, he was almost trying to discourage me from the role rather than assess if I was a suitable fit with standard procedure. The third stage required preparing a case study with a sample e-mail and a cold call script to a potential customer, which I would present. After that, they wanted me to perform a role-play with another member of the team and showcase my objection-handling skills. The last stage was a coffee chat with some other team members. A week after the last stage I got an e-mail from the Country Manager informing me that they decided not to proceed with my application because they are seeking a more experienced candidate after all. Note that I am considered mid-level with years of experience. Advise for the Holidu Management: You are not PwC nor Deloitte (these 2 require usually 2 interviews actually), and improve your recruiting skills so that you don't have to waste so much time and effort from a candidate just to through a cheap excuse.

      Dear candidate, Thank you for providing feedback about your interview process. We take this very seriously, as we continuously want to improve as a (potential) employer. We are truly sorry to hear that the application process didn’t turn out to be what you would have wished for. For our sales and account management roles in Greece we have a 3-step application process: a 30-minute interview with HR, a 60-minute functional interview with the hiring manager, and a final step which includes a case study and a coffee chat with some of the team members, so you can also get a feeling of the atmosphere in the team. If the process turns out not to be successful in the end, our hiring managers always reach out personally to the candidate in order to give feedback, since we also genuinely appreciate the time you invested. Only in case the hiring manager has not been able to reach you, they will send an email; however, there is always the possibility to ask for more in-depth feedback. Generally, providing a thorough and appreciative recruiting process is really important to us, which is why every interviewer also receives training, and we involve different parties in order to make it fair to each of our candidates. The reason for the multi-staged recruitment process is that we want to make sure both our hiring teams and candidates are certain about extending an offer/accepting an offer decision. It gives everyone involved in the process a chance to get to know each other well and for hiring teams to assess in detail candidates' skills, cultural fit and experience. We also believe our candidates benefit greatly from our recruitment practices as it gives them an all-round view of our company, goals and values.
