I applied online, Google now has a policy that you can only apply for 3 positions in 3 months, I think, so you really need to choose carefully the positions that you are applying to. I had a brief screening interview with recruiter, very nice guy, on top of his game, he then scheduled an interview with the hiring team. The interview was very chilled, laid back, some behavioral questions, but nothing like Tell me about yourself or going over your resume... I know where a blew the interview which for me it was a learning situation, but definitely would be applying again.

The first interview was a standard phone screening followed by 45 minute behavioral interview. Next step was an online SQL test, followed by a SQL heavy interview. Did not make it passed this interview.
