Hiring manager followed a script; wasn’t so engaged; did not dive deep into my answers; asked about weaknesses; did not provide detail answers about the team or the work and ended the interview early. Recruiter then asked for a call to deliver rejection message (which could’ve been an email). They moved extremely fast - likely already had a strong internal candidate and were just going through the motions to justify the internal hire and check recruiting metrics. Borderline sham job posting - What a waste of time!
