I went through two stages of the interview process. The first one was a general job interview on the phone (I was interviewed by an Amsterdam-based HR representative) and the second one was a translation test in the local office. My overall impression is positive (all employees were extremely nice to me), although the test was long and stressful.

The team doing the interview was unprofessional and I could sense their personal dislike that they did not even try to hide. The whole process left a bad taste in my mouth. I was not chosen although they openly admitted that the quality of my translation was great. It all felt very personal.

About 3 pages of translation test. No online interview. Communication is smooth and the whole process is swift. After passing the test account is set up right after and work starts coming in.

The interview process was quite long (it took about two-three months at least). There were several rounds with different department heads (my would-be line manager, HR, office manager, etc.). They provided good feedback, but having to go through several long interviews and not knowing for months what the outcome would be wasn't great - because you don't know how to plan your life.

The interviewers asked me how I'd prioritise different tasks depending on their urgency and importance.
