PD&A Lab Technician

Main responsibilities:

• Support the execution of laboratory trials focused on product characterization, shelf-life assessment, validation of manufacturing conditions, and the optimization and validation of new functional food and beverage applications, using microbiological and molecular biology techniques.
• Conduct critical analysis of experimental results using appropriate software tools, and prepare well-supported conclusions for each study, covering both internal and customer projects.
• Prepare detailed progress reports on laboratory trials, including sections on the state of the art, objectives, materials and methods, results, and conclusions.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the laboratory management system, ensuring proper execution of daily tasks, equipment maintenance, and sample inventory management for strategic projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in laboratory and pilot-scale facilities.

Qualification and experience:

• Higher degree of Laboratory Technician
• 2-3 years of proven experience working with food supplement dosage formats or products in the Food & Beverage or Feed industry. Previous experience in R&D, particularly in projects related to bacterial characterization or application, will be valued.
• Knowledge in Microbiology and Molecular biology techniques.
• Medium level of English: reading, writing, speaking
