I applied online and was contacted about a week later to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was informal, mostly just telling me about the position. She asked me, "why yelp?" and "why cold calling." A few days after that I was contacted for an in person interview. I went into the office and, thanks to glassdoor, knew just what to expect. Three people interviewed me, asking me to sell them yelp. They were all nice, giving constructive criticism. The idea here was to remember the tips, then build on them in each of the following interviews. I was contacted 2 days later with information regarding a background check. Then, a week later i was contacted with an offer.

The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
