Great conversations with the hiring manager and product managers. Seems to have a very collaborative culture and strong mature product team. However, I was a bit disappointed by the other interviewers in the panel outside of the product team. The interviewers weren’t prepared, I observed them formulating their questions on the fly lacked focus and seemed rambling. I’m hoping Square can work with their interviewers to prep the panel with deceive goals & questions to ensure the candidate has a fair interview. Furthermore, some of the interviewers approach was very dry when it came to conversations. I’m not sure if that was intentional to check if you can crack under pressure but it doesn’t reflect well on culture.
