My interview experience with Sourcegraph can be described in 3 words: Rigorous, fair, and efficient. My recruiter, Grace, guided me through the whole process, making sure I was prepared for each of the 6 steps of the interview process. I was a bit concerned about the number of steps at first, but realized that given Sourcegraph is a completely remote company, a few extra conversations probably need to be had to fully vet new teammates. Overall, I actually had fun interviewing and was never, ever left wondering what the next steps would be. The company moves fast to find talent, which is excellent for job seekers who may be balancing multiple conversations at once.

The interview process with Sourcegraph was top notch.
From initial recruiter call to the offer letter the process was thorough, easy to follow, and transparent which are all extremely comforting as an interviewee.
They outline the process, what to expect and proper material to dig into on your own through their public handbook. I never was lost, or felt like I was on my own trying to navigate the process, but supported and communicated with the entire time.
The interviews are well structured and provide both me and the company great insight into each other, both from the ability to find success in the role, fit into the team and culture, and align with the overall mission and values that Sourcegraph has.
Overall the experience was second to none, and a huge reason why I decided to join the company.

Entrevista
It was truly a joy to interview for this role. Even though they were undergoing an interview format transition period while I was interviewing, Billy Mutch (Senior Sales Recruiter) was transparent, encouraging, and very communicative throughout the process. Extra emphasis on the transparency as that is often hard to find with any interview process- and especially at a high growth startup like Sourcegraph.
I had no prior sales role before interviewing so was tentative at first. Billy encouraged me throughout the process and let me know it was more than just prior experience, especially this role.
I found the interview process appropriately rigorous yet insightful for both the applicant and the hiring team. They really challenge you (in a positive way) to make sure that you truly do want to do sales, sales in tech, and sales in tech specifically at Sourcegraph. Even though I was enthused about the company prior to interviewing, I found myself even more gravitated to the team throughout the process as everyone was personable and very excited about the company.
The interviews were an evaluative process measuring a combination of intellectual curiosity, soft skills, and analytical capabilities.
