From start to finish on the screening call I had with the recruiter, it was the worst experience I have encountered in a recruitment process.
The recruiter made no attempt to have any initial chit chat to put me at ease, they read from a script in a monotone voice, their dog barked throughout, at which they made no attempt to acknowledge or apologise for and they made it very clear they had no interest to speak to me from the start. They could not be bothered to have the call.
The unprofessional way this salesforce recruiter conducted themselves was a poor reflection on Salesforce. I would not want anyone else to go through the same experience. I came off the call knowing I wasn’t through to the next stage.
I have since tried to find someone to discuss this with but have been unable to find a relevant contact email address.

Was referred by a friend who works at Salesforce. Recruiter contacted me within 2 days for a phone screen, then arranged for a hiring manager screen. After than I had loop interview with 4 potential peers (Director-VP levels). And finally I was asked to prepare and deliver a presentation to the hiring manager (VP) and her manager (SVP).

I got to the 3rd round for this role which was the panel interview. The recruiting team was helpful and responsive throughout the process but I found the process of the panel interview disingenuous. Preparing a panel presentation when you are working full time is a big task and I feel Slack needs to appreciate this more. One of the panelists had to leave halfway through my presentation and there was not much interaction/questions from the other panelists. I recommend candidates ask a LOT of questions of the recruiter before they commit to preparing a panel presentation to make sure you're not wasting your time. I felt I was pushed through to this round and asked to do a lot of work when I was not really being considered as a top candidate. Perhaps the recruiters have quotas in terms of the candidates they get to this round? The feedback they gave me was almost immediate and was vague about 'a wealth of experience' but 'too conservative' which makes me suspect they thought I was too old (I'm late 40's...). Suspect they gave the role to an internal candidate but I'm annoyed they wasted my time.
