Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Slack (San Francisco, CA) en jul 2020
Entrevista
Interview started with a phone call with the recruiter, then a 1/2 hour interview with a senior member on the team, next, a four hour Zoom that started with an hour presentation/exercise that took 30+ hours to prepare.
Fast forward a couple months, the hiring manager chose to bring in his former coworker from their previous employer that they both had recently left. Hence, I’d conclude he and Slack were just going through the formalities of interviewing other candidates when someone else was already preselected. Frustrating. I’d like my 35 hours back please.
The rest of the team that I interviewed with and HR were all terrific, fun and pleasant.
The reason given that I wasn’t chosen—they didn’t get a sense that I had a “strong point-of-view for the role.” I adamantly disagree and recall clearly communicating how I’d envision the role and how to solve challenges in both the Zoom interviews and the hour-long exercise. Again, when you’ve already pre-selected your buddy to fill the role, you have to come up with something!
3 phone interviews with varying levels of manager and team members reviewing job history and fit. Large focus on culture and skills with increasing level of detail discussed over the course of the process.

The first interview was great. The interviewer and I had a very nice conversation and the questions were behavioral heavy. Once the interview was completed, the interviewer notified me that he would contact me next week for a follow on interview and liked my chances. He never contacted me. I sent him 3 emails and a LinkedIn message in the span of 3 months and never heard back again. It was a horrible experience because I was very excited for the follow on interview because of how great the first one went. It would have been nice to know I didn’t get the role but instead they ghosted me. Unprofessional company with selfish employees waiting to cash out once it gets its IPO.
