HR screening is simple but they should really add that they are looking for “long term employees” (more on that later) in their criteria at this stage. They should actually add this requirement to the recruiters that they hire as not to waste everyone’s time.
Once you get to the engineering manager step you will get a deep dive into your work history. There are some bizarre questions here like obsessing about team size and pull request policy (as if an IC has any control over this?).
If you have a history of multiple roles within a few years, do not bother with this company. They have “people who have been with the company for 8+ years” and basically give the “we’re a family” spiel without saying it. There’s no amount of convincing you will be about to do, even if you took up temporary contracts or worked at a failed startup.
Finally, beware they boldly claim that they’re a “Great Place To Work” but when pressed on their retention policy, they waffle out a non-answer. True great places to work would proudly announce inflation-indexed salaries, or actual answers aside from meaningless “we invest in our employees”.

Every step of the process was clearly laid out, and everyone was friendly. The in person portion was very relaxed and felt more collaborative between myself and the interviewers, rather than an individual test.

During the in person interview I was given a scenario question about a page that was loading slowly, and asked what kind of troubleshooting steps I would take to diagnose the issue.
