I had the interview in March 2022. It was an initial screening call via google meet to assess my suitability for the role. I did not like the fact that the recruiter had her video turned off the whole time (i had my video on). Candidates should be able to connect with the company even in the interview phases. If a recruiter isn't in a conducive environment to turn on her video, then the interview shouldn't hold. That's why it's a screening interview not a screening phone call... Also, I was told I would be recorded right when the interview started and my consent was required. I know most organizations abroad don't record interviews for GDPR issues. In fact, I have never had any organization ask to record my interview........In hindsight, I should have declined, but everything was moving fast, and i said yes... So i was recorded, without seeing the face of my interviewer as well.....not the best candidate experience
