Went through 5 rounds of interview, got a mail from HR to share the documents, got a call from HR to discuss the package, I had clearly stated what minimum percentage I wanted but still agreed to negotiate incase other perks were good enough, the HR was hesitant to share the salary structure on mail which I found a bit weird , but ultimately I agreed to the package since it was a good profile. HR checked with me again about me being ok with the package, I reassured that I was ok with it and was looking forward to work with MS
One week passes , I don't hear from them, I send a follow up mail but I don't get a reply.
First they weren't ready to pay me what I wanted but even after agreeing to their terms they ghosted me.
Second on LinkedIn I found out they have hired someone from my clg with same experience at a position 2 levels higher than me. When I highlighted that given my experience and certifications I deserve a higher pay/ position they quoted this is the max salary and position they can offer as per the total work experience I have.
Why have such double standards while hiring ppl, everybody talks about being an equal opportunity employer but not necessarily walk the talk.
I understand there are limitations but then you should communicate it to the candidate and not leave them hanging after you have discussed the offer and candidate has agreed to it , that's the least you can do. The process took more than a month.
