Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Morgan Stanley (Montreal, QC) en oct 2013
Entrevista
Applied online. They came to my university for first round interview.
The interviewer himself was young and cool. He was so friendly. He asked few basic technical questions and one algorithm question. It lasted for 20 mins.
After 2 weeks they asked me to come to Montreal office for next round interviews.
The day was amazing. They planned it so well.
The day started at 11:30. First Lunch and Panel discussion (It is not an interview) few recent or 2 years experienced employees come to the room and talk for a while. We shall ask all our doubts and questions. It is just an alternative way for a boring PPT about the company. I really loved it. Then the process starts.
1. Group Activity - There were around 20 people divided into 3 teams. We were given a bunch of newspapers and few rolls of tapes and we were asked to construct a bridge free standing and able to hold 5 pounds of weight for 10 seconds. The goal is not to see how you design the bridge but to see how well u work in a team environment. 3 or 4 people will be in the room watching you. It was fun and get to know the people your are competing with.
Then they took everyone of us to individual rooms for next round interviews. The time was 2.00 pm
2. Three technical interviews from various persons may be from same division or different divisions. 2-2.45, 2.45-3.30, 3.30-4.15 - three rounds. I didnt have to go anywhere. Once the time is up, another person will knock the door and this guy will wrap up :) It was so perfect and punctual. All the three rounds were almost similar. Few technical straight questions. Few about your resume or work experiences. One datastructure/algorithm question and the immediate next one was realtime problem. the solution was always the solution of previous problem. I think they just wanted to know how we apply our theoretical solution in real time.
Most questions are from linked list, binary search, etc.
3. The final round was also in the same room. 4.15-5.00. It was behavioral. Interviewer was executive director ranking. All were like "Why should I hire you?" What is the difference between your domain in the past and this finance domain?"
I had to say that all interviewers were friendly and casual. I really liked the way they organized the interviews and everything was punctual. As mentioned in the schedule I was at the door sharply at 5.00 pm.
Within few days, they called and informed me about the offer.

When you tell your friends that you work for a big finance company, they might tell you "they all are evil. Why do you work there?" How will you react to this?
TAP.
Super day consists of 2 Technicals and 1 behavioural interview.
Test Data Structure & Algo and CS fundamentals. It is a pretty straightforward process, and the interviewers are nice.
