I had a first HR phone interview that was mainly about getting to know me and my background, what I’m looking for, and why I was interested in the role and the company. The call itself was quite short and focused more on fit and motivation than on technical skills.
After that, I was asked to complete a home assignment. It included some simple questions related to the game the studio was working on, to see how I think and how I approach their product.
The last part of the assignment was a timed question where I had to introduce myself in English and explain why I thought I was a good fit for the role and the company, under time pressure.
