First you submit your online application, then you are contacted via e-mail from HR, to apoint a date for a screening interview, will last about 45min. Routine questions mostly. I was informed, that the next interview will be with the head of the department.
Second interview was almost two weeks later, i was very dissapointed. I had already informed them, that my french was good for basic conversation and q&a, but i would prefer english when discussing technical matters, and questions, i was told not to worry about this, but in the interview i was expected to present solution approaches to technical issues in french. The interview was very confusing, there was noise in the background, and they placed a lot of emphasis on how important personality was to them asked some very personal questions. made me feel uncomfortable.
third interview took place another week later this time one-on-one and in english.
havent heard back yet.
My tip:
- make sure your french is up to par, even if you are told english is the working language. If its not, let them know from the start, honesty will be valued.
- be patient, it will be a very long process, they truly are commited to finding the best and brightestin terms of motivation and skill eventhough grades did not seem relevant....
- make sure you highlight your team player skills, for it seemed very important(Do you play a team sport, how would, can you work in teams? describe your personality)
- passion is just as important as skill, especially when you make it to the second round(Why the luxury sector, are you a hard worker, perfectionist, dilligent etc. etc)
- make sure to ask questions, show eagerness to learn, inform yourself what is going on(dont just check the brand website, make sure you read up on the lux.market and current issues in the industry) try to go from standard interview to conversation.
hope this helps you guys, overall everyone is very nice, and its a great place to learn and work.
