Solicité el puesto a través de la recomendación de un empleado. El proceso duró 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Intuit (Petah Tikva) en sept 2024
Entrevista
In the second phase of the interviewing process, I was requested to submit an implementation of some spec requests in 24 hours since I received the spec.
I had to wait 8 days to get a response by phone.
The interviewer told me about some comments she got from the examiner. The comments had nothing to do with the spec. Complaining why I haven't implemented in a certain way that was not specified and why I hadn't added some features that were not relevant in the way I've chosen to implement to spec. I must add that in a Readme file I attached to the solution, I did brought up the option to implement the way she brought up and I explained the complexities and cons that caused me to choose another way for this exercise.
I was also told that the examiner commented that it looks I haven't used Spring Boot for a long time (he didn't mention what caused him to think so). As I'm pretty familiar with Spring Boot, it sounded odd to me and I sent my solution to a friend that works at Intuit and is also an interviewer. He told me he has no clue what did my examiner mean. He told me my solution was written in very high level of Spring Boot and that my implementation is the straight forward way he would also take if he was required to implement this exercise.
So, bottom line. It felt like a very non professional interview and also very not kind, since I had to invest about 4 hours to implement the exercise and expected at least to get a fair check and get the response in a reasonable time.

Pregunta 1
Write some code for 4 hours and we will not even bother to check it properly.
Applied through referral after initially applying on the careers page. The process started with a recruiter screen discussing my background, tech stack, and role expectations. This was followed by a 1-hour phone screen with coding questions using the Glider platform. The onsite loop was around 6 hours and included a backend hands-on exercise, system design discussions, and deep dives into my solution and past experience. Recruiter communication was clear and timely throughout the process.
