This was for a Node JS Developer position with Express and MongoDB listed as the preferred skills, but for the first 30 minutes or so of the interview I was asked questions about React for some reason. Not that I have a problem with React, it just wasn't part of the job description.
The screening was just a long series of rapid-fire questions, such as "what is a ref in React?" and "what is a stateless component?". Even if you answered the question completely in the previous question, you would still be asked.
What was most frustrating is that the interviewer would simply say "okay..." and just move on to the next question when asked to clarify or repeat the current question. Even after calling the interviewer out on this at one point, he continued to do it with later questions. I understand that English was not their native language, but this was rude and unacceptable. I decided to end the call after having too many questions skipped.
