This was an internal transfer between departments. Generally such horizontal moves are treated almost as new jobs where one has to go through a two round interview process. The interviews are with the technical team and with the new department lead. After they have interviewed all candidates, a decision is made fairly quickly and the successful candidate is informed and begins the transition process to the new team.

Structured and smooth. 3 rounds of interview with technical interview with developer, Ent architect, hiring manager. some techical questions about architectural conundrums and challanges. i asked for feedback on how i did every round just to make sure i'm doing ok.
Some HR disguised as technical recruiter took the first round. He had a set of questions all definitions and formulas he asked. I responded as is. Cleared the round. They keep calling and saying they will schedule second round,take my slot then never keep the interview.
