      Entrevista

Here's what my interview process looked like: 1. Recruiter Screen (Riley) Riley was my HR coordinator. She introduced the role, explained expectations, and walked me through what the process would look like. She also stayed in touch throughout and offered to connect for a 1:1 at any point. 2. First Round This was a virtual interview (remote). Focused on program/project management fundamentals and basic networking fluency. Questions included: Walking through past projects. Handling risks, competing priorities, and vague requirements. Some technical scenario-based discussions (dark fiber, circuits, redundancy). 3. Second Round / Final Panel This was the formal set of interviews (second round) Riley referred to. Comprised of multiple virtual interviews with Googlers from different functions. Each interviewer assessed different competencies: Program & Project Management (planning, RAID logs, scope control). Networking Concepts (dark fiber vs. lit services, redundancy planning, transport systems). Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills (hypotheticals like vendor delays, capacity planning). Collaboration & Communication (stakeholder alignment, conflict resolution). Data & Metrics (SQL basics, using dashboards to track utilization or project progress). Googleyness (Google more for this) 4. Post-Interview Review Riley told me explicitly that after the interviews, all feedback would be compiled and sent for a thorough hiring committee review. The review process usually takes 1–3 weeks, though she said they’d try to expedite because of earlier scheduling changes. She clarified that per Google’s policies, specific feedback from interviewers wouldn’t be shared — only the final result.

      Pregunta 1

Program Management Scenario: “You’re running multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and limited resources — how do you prioritize and communicate with stakeholders?” Networking/Infrastructure Basics: “What’s the difference between dark fiber and lit services, and when would you use each?” Problem-Solving Hypotheticals: “A vendor informs you of a 3-week delay on a critical circuit delivery. What do you do?” Collaboration: “How do you resolve conflicting priorities between engineering and business stakeholders?” Capacity Planning: “How would you approach planning for network capacity growth in a metro region?”

The interview scheduling was long and had multiple cancellations throughout the process, causing a delay and misalignment in expectations. The interviewer was not prepared/informed on what questions to ask which was really disappointing, especially considering company like Google.

3 rounds of interview, excluding HR screening. Each interview have about 4 - 6 qns, testing past examples from your work experience, as well as how you may solve future hypothetical problems. You have to be prepared for role-related questions.
