First was a call with an internal recruiter who was very professional and transparent about the interview process and the company. Next was a technical interview with one engineer leading and two shadowing. And a final interview/discussion with the VP of Engineering. I appreciated the fact that for each step the calendar invite included the full list of interviewers with position and LinkedIn profiles plus a description of what to expect from the interview.

At first there was a standard screening interview with a internal recruiter, which was very professional and on point. A few days later i was given a mini project to complete within a week. The project consisted from standard rails / sidekiq / faraday / docker tasks with integration and unit tests to accompany it. A few days later i was told that the company found a better match, without pointing out to any possible improvements for the code, code review or any technical feedback whatsoever. That’s confusing. If you ask a candidate to complete a day long project, at least be respectful to provide a reasonable feedback
