Interview was 3 rounds:
- Phone screen
- Individual interview with staff engineer
- 2ish hour technical + behavioral interview consisting of 3 rounds of pairs of engineers making up a 'panel'
Standard coding + sys design questions (no LC style hards or gotcha's)
Interviewers were helpful + kind and made the interview process enjoyable. People ops was great to communicate with and provided timely updates and responses when I emailed questions.
The interview process spanned just three rounds within a week. A phone screen, a pairing exercise with a senior contributor, and a 2.5-hour virtual onsite session, which included a code review, another pairing exercise, a mock design review session, and a Q&A with the hiring team. While the recruiter appeared to try to bu time to close the loop with other candidates, the interviewers were incredibly helpful and made the process feel refreshingly conversational. They truly simulated the team’s dynamics and typical workday interactions, and built a great pipeline for getting a feel of what it's like working with the hiring team

Several rounds of remote sessions, including a take home assignment. Had really good signal throughout the interview process right up until the end where I felt pretty blindsighted by their response.
