Manager sent an email to a professor of mine who in turn sent out an email blast. I sent my resume to the manager, got a phone interview a week later and got called in for an in person interview a few weeks after that. During the in person interview, I was shown around the facilities and laboratories, and also interviewed with the manager’s manager. Lasted 3 hours, more than I expected but I got the job!
