Entrevista
Submitted my application, which was reasonable in length, in March 2014 and received notification that I would be contacted by HR by phone within the following two weeks or so. HR representative asked questions that confirmed what was on my resume, such as education. Afterwards, I was given another phone interview with someone from the research team, who also confirmed details on my resume as well as my technical skills and availability during the summer.

Two questions come to mind. The "most difficult" question was pretty standard, asking about an obstacle I had encountered on a project and how did I resolve it. The "unexpected" question, coming from HR, provided the hourly wage and asked if this was acceptable; I previously expected that discussion about money didn't occur until after receiving a job offer.

The process for this interview was quick and easy. I was approached directly by my hiring manager and interviewed with her twice before I was extended an offer for AstraZeneca's summer internship program.

It was a phone interview. They set up a time with me and they called me. There were a few people on the other end of the line. It was hard to hear them but it was an okay interview.

I had applied to many of the internships on the online application through the company, and was called for an informal HR screening interview for two of them. But for the one that I ended up receiving, the hiring manager emailed me directly, asking to set up a phone interview (I was not in the area at the time). We talked for about 45 minutes about general questions, details on my resume, as well as more in depth questions about my laboratory and scientific experience in undergrad and past internships.
