Was contacted by the recruiter for a role I did not apply to. Was provided with a thorough steps In hiring process. Everything is online right now and everything was done via email. No one calls for a direct conversation. The only time you speak to a human is during the first stage interview with a ‘hiring manager.’ this person was very laid back and provided guidance on steps and how resumes get sent to other groups/departments in case you weren’t a fit. They focus on SMART method questions. Way too much on it. The role I originally applied for was in AWS were they seem to be hiring externally only. This could be a bad sign or not. The finance function seems very decentralized which means little time for real analysis. Sounds like lots of room for creativity because of the lack of an ERP or a centralized system to help gather data. It really depends on what your focus would be and/or intention if you want to work here. Sounds like growth but it can also mean for an experienced person to go backwards and accept a lower level job title to meet their internal hierarchy...
