Interview process was streamlined and timely, all went down within a week and heard back the week after. Covered science breadth and depth, experimental design, statistics, and core ML. Additional questions about scientific area of expertise all experience based. Was asked about a recent publication and discussed methods and results.

How do you account for confounding including unobserved confounding? How would you design an experiment in this setting? What are some loss functions and what are their applications?
Applied for Amazon AGI. After first round, it will go into full round of multiple interviews. Lots of modern LLM training technic questions. There are still some behavioral questions, but less than general Amazon roles.
Interviewed with 1 phone screen, 1 coding, 2 ml design and 2 lp rounds. Most questions were non-leetcode questions more related to day to day ml implementations. The questions were very practical.
