Entrevista
The HR reached out to me for the interview. Everything was communicated through emails - which made the process very slow. It took about 6 weeks to complete 3 rounds of interviews.
1st round was discussion on hashmaps which went pretty well - the interviewer was very much friendly and was understanding my thoughts. This led to the second round of interview.
2nd round was the discussion on API design which was also related to airbase product. We had discussion on designing the API and storing the data in the database as well as the communication of frontend and backend through web sockets. This round also went well and which led to the next round.
3rd round was on system design - designing a twitter API and model to handle concurrent requests - we had discussion on this - the interviewer gave some hints on the answer he wanted to get from me and at the end we arrived at the optimal solution.
After this I got a response - that we can not go ahead with the candidature as of now - which was very disappointing as the interviews went pretty well.
On asking the HR about the feedback as to why I was rejected - they didn't have any answer and didn't respond for that.
I would suggest for the candidates to keep giving interviews in the middle as the airbase process is really slow and they might reject you even if your interviews went well.
For airbase I would suggest to make the process a bit faster and give proper feedbacks to the candidates.

Recruiter contacted me. There were three rounds.
First round was of hiring manager, he asked about general software engineering process (sprint, team size, etc.) that I have followed in my career, about my projects, about the hardest problem that I have worked on etc.
It went well. Next round was on coding. Interviewer asked a "real world" graph problem, I solved it using disjoint sets, I had to write pseudo code in google doc. Interviewer was satisfied with the solution and he had no other questions, so he ended interview 15 min early.
Next round was system design, they asked me to design their bill/invoice upload flow. I had to design it's APIs, storage etc. It went well, there was no counters from interviewer.
Even after everything went well, HR messaged me that I am rejected. No feedbacks for any of the rounds, even after asking it explicitly. I also tried connecting with interviewers just for feedback but no response from any of them. Pathetic experience.
Also, I had to remind HR multiple times to schedule the rounds. The interview process is not at all proactive.

The process took approximately 2 months with 4 rounds.
I got a chance to interact with various managers and devs in engineering team.
Airbase values are unique and I liked the fact that they try to stay clear of corporate BS.
