Monitor project budgets, expenditures, forecasts, ensuring alignment given funding
Track actual costs vs. budget and ensure accurate financial visibility
Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with EU funding rules and financial guidelines
Accounting & Reconciliation
Manage accounting records for project accounts (e.g., CRHIM)
Perform balance reconciliations, transaction verification, and bookkeeping oversight
Ensure accuracy and alignment with internal financial controls and policies
Budget Management Support
Support the development and revision of project budgets
Assist in implementing cost reallocations, amendments, and adjustments as needed
Work closely with project managers to align financial planning with project execution
Administrative Coordination
Take ownership of administrative processes related to project financial management
Coordinate across teams to ensure smooth financial and operational workflows
Audit & Compliance
Support audit preparation, incl. collection & organization of supporting documentation
Ensure readiness for financial reviews and audits
Assist in audits & ensuring ongoing compliance with funding requirements
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial administration
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, reconciliation and financial reporting
EU citizen or work permit to work in Spain
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus)
