Senior Head - Business Development

Job Summary

The Senior Head for Business Development is responsible for managing and operating assigned projects, monitoring financial viability and feasibility, inventory management and project management. The role is responsible for conceptualizing high-quality residential developments, and evaluating their financial feasibility and overall business viability. The role involves conducting market research and competitor analysis, identifying growth opportunities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing project development from conceptualization to approval. The position also requires the preparation of business cases, financial models, and presentations to support strategic recommendations and management decision-making while ensuring alignment with company objectives and market demands.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project management of assigned projects.
  • Managing financial viability through pricing residential units.
  • Monitoring and managing project inventories.
  • Lead land acquisition and site selection activities, including market assessment, site evaluation, and coordination of due diligence requirements.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments in conducting feasibility studies and evaluating the viability of potential development projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive business plans for future residential developments, covering market analysis, conceptual planning, financial projections, and project viability assessments.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of new and existing projects to ensure alignment with approved plans, timelines, and financial targets.
  • Prepare project close-out reports for completed developments, including analysis of budget versus actual costs, project timelines, operational challenges, and key learnings for future improvements.
  • Support corporate strategic planning initiatives by assisting in the development and evaluation of financial goals, business strategies, and long-term growth plans.
  • Update and maintain project financial models and analyses as needed, including assessment of the financial impact on project performance and overall company objectives.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies aimed at expanding the company’s market presence, increasing business opportunities, and strengthening competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, business partners, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to support business development initiatives.
  • Organize, analyze, and present relevant business and market data to support strategic decision-making related to partnerships, investments, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in any Business-related Course
  • With a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in Business Development or Project Development within the Real Estate industry
  • With background in corporate strategic planning, project management, business planning, market feasibility and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the real estate industry, with the ability to identify market trends, business opportunities, and competitive movements essential for strategic decision-making.
  • Possesses solid understanding of financial analysis, feasibility studies, and business modeling to support project evaluation and investment decisions.
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of the real estate business cycle and project development process, from project conceptualization to completion and turnover.
  • Exhibits strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver compelling business proposals, reports, and presentations to clients, management, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization, from management to rank-and-file employees.
