To broaden opportunities for millions of sellers and consumers across Indonesia, Tokopedia continually supports the country's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) through various strategic initiatives. In collaboration with the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordination Agency (BKPM), Tokopedia helped 1,000 MSMEs in Papua obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB) on 31 August at GOR Toware, Jayapura. This program was also attended by President Joko Widodo and Investment Minister/BKPM Head Bahlil Lahadalia, along with Tokopedia's SVP of Public Policy and Government Relations, Astri Wahyuni. On 29 July 2022, Tokopedia Care won several awards at the Global Contact Center World Awards 2022 - Asia Pacific Level. In line with GoTo Group’s Zero Emissions commitment, Tokopedia, in collaboration with partner LindungiHutan, launched the latest of its mangrove planting efforts in the Tambakrejo Coastal Mangrove Conservation Area, Semarang, on Monday, 22 August 2022. This initiative is part of the Tokopedia Bersama program, to contribute to GoTo’s emission reduction efforts. To date, Tokopedia has planted 13,000 mangrove trees in eight provinces across Indonesia, including DKI Jakarta, West Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and East Kalimantan. This is just one of Tokopedia’s ongoing efforts toward GoTo’s Zero Emissions targets, alongside its shift to renewable energy and more sustainable operations, to continue creating a positive impact for the community and planet. #InsideTokopedia
