Earlier this month, our Growth Team at Sonnedix gathered in Warsaw, Poland, to celebrate their first-ever team gathering. More than 70 people from nine countries met in person, some for the first time, to discuss business strategy, share market knowledge and best practices, and have fun together!
We are working toward becoming a truly diverse and inclusive organization at Sonnedix. Last year, we set ourselves an ambitious goal to decrease our Gender Gap, with a goal of 40% of new hires being women. We are proud to announce that we surpassed our goal, with 42% of recruits identifying as female. The composition of our Board of Directors is currently 28% female, above the sector average of 21%, and in some teams, like our Asset Management Team in Spain, we have over 50%, female workers. We also were named Solar Gender Champion by SolarPower Europe in 2021. Read more highlights from our sustainability report > https://bit.ly/3UeZzSV
We are a One Team that comes from diverse backgrounds, across functions and countries, that work together towards our shared purpose: To harness the power of the sun to build a Bright Future. At Sonnedix, we are driven by the potential of solar energy to transform lives, by creating sustainable energy solutions, for our people and our planet. We also know our most valued asset is our employees!

Our Sonnedix Internship Program is designed to provide people from under-represented groups the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the solar sector. This 6–12-month program aims for young people across all teams and locations to contribute to their teams, and subsequently join us as permanent employees as opportunities arise. Hear from Andiswa Zibani, who joined us in 2021 as an intern in Finance and now is part of our One Team as an Associate Finance Analyst at Sonnedix!
At Sonnedix, we are committed to establishing long-term relationships in the countries in which we operate, by providing communities with educational support focused on opportunities and challenges presented by renewable energy. By taking this approach, we can inspire the problem-solvers of tomorrow to overcome the global climate change crisis. #TBT To a recent visit to our largest plant to date, Sonnedix Atacama Solar (170MW) by high school students from the Industrial Mechanics and Agronomy class at Liceo Padre Alberto Hurtado de Pica. The visit to the plant was an event organized within the framework of the Professional Technical Education Day on August 26, a date that commemorates the General Directorate of Professional Education in Chile, established in 1942.
“I joined Sonnedix in 2012 when it was a small group of like-minded entrepreneurs with a mission to change the world through solar energy. Since that, our team has grown and so has the number of countries where we operate. But we’ve never lost sight of what we wanted to become and to this day remain a company that tries to build a bright future for our employees, our investors, and the communities in which we operate. I feel incredibly privileged to have been a part of that and to have shaped it in my own way – as the leader of our Legal & Compliance team, as a female within Senior Management, and as a member of the amazing #OneTeam we’ve built.” Happy 10-year anniversary to Marissa Corda, our General Counsel at Sonnedix! Thank you for bringing your Positive Energy and hard work each day for this past decade and contributing to our shared purpose!
Our Eco-3 Team comic series explores greenhouse gases & climate challenges they pose to our society and show how solar and renewables are helping to heal our planet.
