Last week, we marked World Menopause Day with an insightful talk from Claire Hattrick, The Executive Menopause Coach, at our Ocado offices in Hatfield ✨ The session brought together colleagues to discuss menopause, with both group discussions and 1-2-1 sessions, and lots of freebies. With approximately 13 million women experiencing menopause at any given time, it's crucial that we support our colleagues through this stage of their careers. The statistics are loud and clear: women are underrepresented in #technology. As a global tech company, we take this seriously. From our internal network and training programs which coach and empower our colleagues, to engaging externally with the community and inspiring future generations, we believe that we can only reduce the gender gap by working together - women and allies, from industry, academia, and public administrations. Change starts with open, honest, powerful, and sometimes uncomfortable conversations. Last week, we hosted a panel discussion at our #Barcelona development centre with our friends from WomenTech Network. Four inspiring panellists shared the challenges they have faced throughout their career and the opportunities they embraced along the way. Heartwarming stories and practical tips to take your career forward. Did you miss the meetup?💡 Read below some of the tips shared by our colleague Anna Terés Sáez: • Hard skills can be learned. Motivation and attitude are unique. • Look at challenges as opportunities: we can only learn from our mistakes. • Never give up: a rejection is just another opportunity to learn. Always ask for feedback, improve based on that feedback and start over again. #OcadoTechnologyBCN
