Grede recently sponsored and attended Purdue University’s Grand Prix event. We sponsored Jacob Peddycord’s #88 URBA First Street Motorsports kart. Shawn Cefalu, Executive Technical Director at Grede and Purdue Alumnus, attended the race and cheered Jacob on from the sidelines. We even received a signed jersey and photograph. We’re proud to support the future of engineering students. Purdue is a Grow with Grede target school and a Foundry Educational Foundation-certified school. We’re always looking to acquire new talent as part of our early career talent development strategy, Grow with Grede. Grede proudly sponsored and attended the American Foundry Society's Metalcasting Congress in Milwaukee at the end of April. Grede is highly involved in the American Foundry Society. We were a gold sponsor, and over 20 Grede team members took advantage of the technical courses, panels, keynote sessions, and networking opportunities. Two of our very own taught technical sessions. Manager of Foundry Engineering Kyle Peterson PE led a session about adopting 3D sand printing in a production environment, and Senior Product Engineer Patrick Kluesner taught a class about casting material properties. We were happy to visit with peers and suppliers, such as Elkem, Grede's largest alloy provider. In the third photo, Communications Manager Stephanie Frazho engages with them on sustainability communications. Thank you to the AFS for putting on another great conference. We'll see you next year! 👋

It’s Mobility Awareness Month. As a trusted partner in the mobility industry, Grede is proud to partner with Go Baby Go, an international collective of people on a mission to provide mobility to children in need. Grede partnered with the organization in November of 2023, and we’re happy to announce that we’re continuing our partnership this year! 🚘🚗 Not everyone is fortunate to have the mobility they need to explore their world. Mobility is a human right, and play is the best way to get that done with kids. So, we partnered with Go Baby Go to build and modify power ride-on cars for toddlers with mobility impairments in the metro Detroit area last year and can’t wait to do it again this year! #MobilityIndustry #MobilityAwarenessMonth #GoFurtherWithGrede
