Ventajas
I met some very good people- but then again, that happens in most places.
Desventajas
I am well aware that the below will seem very biased but after working there for over four years I know what I’m saying. - Cult of personality for the CEO. He wants yes-people and if you question him at all, there will be consequences (from not being invited to certain meetings anymore to much worse). - Clueless Sales team. It’s the classic consequence of having a base salary and possible bonuses for signed clients- they will do very questionable things to get a new client signed. They also expect other teams to do their job for them, plain and simple. - Terrible HR. There are often two types of HR departments, the ones that care about employees and the ones that are simply the enforcers of whatever Management says. In PPRO they are the second. They call themselves “People Team”, however do not let that fool you. Terrible professionals, terrible people. - Messed up culture in many ways. For example, if something goes well, Sales takes the win. If something goes wrong, CDD/Risk/Compliance will take the blame. - Low salaries with ridiculous raises (when those happen). To provide an example, when I was promoted my salary raise was only 2% higher than inflation (and I was already underpaid). Also, there aren’t any bonuses. - Antediluvian software. A company that grows as much as PPRO has done during the last few years needs to invest in proper software and not keep using things that were ok in 2012. The amount of manual work (often caused due to software crashes) in unbelievable. - Management will never tell you what’s going on. Every monthly company meeting will be full of “I’m so excited” statements because, in theory, everything is going amazing. Newsflash: this is not the case. - Lots of layoffs in the last few years. The worst part is not that this happened, it’s how it happened. Total disregard for the employees, telling them at the last possible moment (legally speaking) even when Management knew several months before. Zero attempts to relocate workers that had been doing a good job for years in situations where it could have been done as they still needed the positions. There were also situations in which employees were borderline mobbed. Lots of good people have been laid off and I do not expect the company to survive in the long term. - Terrible nepotism. It doesn’t matter how well you do your job. What matters is who you are friends with. - In case it wasn’t clear- the current Management is terribly incompetent. No concern or empathy is showed towards employees. - If you see old reviews, you will clearly see that things were better several years ago and people are very unhappy now. You will also see that Management is so desperate to pretend things are going well that fake reviews have been posted here (see e.g. “Strong leadership and culture” from 3rd October, 2025. What was written does not even make sense and it was obviously done to give the company five stars to make up for the many negative reviews it was receiving those days.
