Ventajas
I've been working now for Autodesk almost the last three years and I am really enjoying myself there. The Barcelona hub grew a lot during the last couple of years / months so we are at almost 400 employees now and I hardly met someone that is not nice there. With a growing hub comes a lot more job opportunities, I remember when I started there were only jobs in sales and client services. Now we've got way more opportunities - which makes it more attractive too! Some positive points: + "Quite" Flexible Working Hours (let's hope it stays like that) + Option to purchase stocks of the company + Paid private insurance + life insurance + Option to participate in pension plan (up to 3% per month) + NEW! Wellness Reimbursement - the company pays you back an amount of up to 480€ A YEAR for a wide range of fitness & wellness activities. (examples: fitness registration & member fees, massages, fitness watches like apple watch or fitbit, sport apps, sport shoes (for running) etc. + 28 days of holidays + Quarterly Team Events (half- or even full-day) + If you seek and work for recognition you will get it + Worldwide room to grow and relocate I have to say that I LOVE Autodesk as a company itself. We have fantastic products to sell. If you have a goal and you work towards this goal - I am sure you will reach it. My manager is brilliant and helps a lot with career development and pushes you to the limit. The company also offers a program called "Mentorship Program" where you can search for 1-3 mentors worldwide that help you with career development. What you really learn in Autodesk is "Patience", because no good things happen fast here. So if you have a career goal that you're aiming at you will get it if you're patient, don't be too fast. On the other hand, especially in sales, you will be able to move quite fast up the leather.. If you start as a BDR and proof you're good, within a year you can be promoted to become a Territory Sales Rep. It's all about how much you want to give.
Desventajas
- no working from home (which for me in 2019 is really frustrating and it clearly shows that there is no trust in employees) - we tried to discuss this plenty of times and the excuses are always tool related, even if the tools work from home and other teams like customer success or client services are allowed to WFH it seems like in sales it's not possible.) - poor middle management, really obvious that some managers are highly demotivated, don't take their job serious which leads to confused peers and an overall weird environment - please senior management - get rid of them, they don't motivate your employees!! - salaries got lower than average in Barcelona - pay more to your talent in order to keep them!! - not much flexibility when it comes to job role changes, hierarchy moves etc. they want you to follow a strict guideline of "how" you're supposed to grow in the company. - if you're not liked by the senior management, you're out - not much room to grow in different areas (at the moment in the hub there are only positions in sales, customer services, customer success, some marketing roles, license compliance, and some other small department.
