They moved fast and everyone was really nice. Interview wasn't as coding/algorithm-design focused, was more focused on general systems knowledge. Would definitely brush up on those concepts. Explain your thought processes and make clear connections back to your own experiences as you answer questions.

Overall, the interview process was quick, and I received responses within 24–48 hours. The role focuses on Developer Experience, CI/CD tooling, and platform support. During the interview, there was a stronger emphasis on local Git operations than I initially expected. My experience is primarily in server-side workflows, using Web IDEs, and platform-level governance, including CI/CD pipelines, repository permissions, and developer tooling. The interviewers were professional and knowledgeable, and the process was smooth. Aligning the interview questions more closely with the responsibilities outlined in the job description could help set clearer expectations for candidates. Additionally, the internal recruiter mentioned that the first round would be a “get-to-know-you” conversation, but it turned out to be a technical round.

There was altogether one CodeSignal round with medium difficulty SRE questions, post profile screening by recruiter. Post that interviews were scheduled. First, was a technical round which included questions involving my past experiences, questions on Networking, Linux, Kubernetes, Grafana. Post qualifying it was Technical Round 2, with shell scripting questions, along with other topics as mentioned in Technical Round 1. Post this, it was the Hiring Manager round.
