Mostly involved video conferencing calls. The hiring manager and the panelists seemed uninterested in hearing about my experience and qualifications. The process mostly appeared to me like an eye wash before they promoted someone internal to the company. I know many organisations in India do that, as per their company policy, they have to keep a certain profile available to outside candidates to apply before they can 'reject' them all to hire someone internally that they have pre selected.
The panelists sounded arrogant and had a very narrow exposure to the industry practices. They often times sounded were not aware of the latest tools and resources available, I was applying for a data analytics role in supply chain management.
On the whole, I had already decided to not to go ahead once I had a few rounds of interviews. It can be very frustrating to work with people who are not open to newer and better ways or are incapable of appreciating diverse experience and thinking.
I hope this helps. Merely having a job means nothing unless there's a possibility of a real, meaningful career.
