1. Initial Recruiter Screening:
The process started with a 30-minute call with a recruiter, who provided a good overview of the role and company culture. The recruiter asked about my experience and reasons for wanting to join Uber, focusing on my problem-solving approach, and briefly touched on my ability to work cross-functionally.
2. Phone Interview with Hiring Manager:
The next round was with the hiring manager. This interview went deeper into my background, especially my analytical and operational experience. They asked about specific instances where I’d driven process improvements and supported product initiatives. Be prepared to discuss data-driven decisions, scalability, and any experience with operational challenges.
3. Case Study/Technical Assessment:
The most challenging part of the process was a case study assignment. I was given a real-world Uber scenario that required identifying operational bottlenecks and proposing actionable solutions. The case was data-heavy, and I was expected to analyze trends and articulate a strategy for improvement. The focus was on structured thinking, attention to detail, and a data-centric approach.
4. Final Round - Panel Interview:
The final stage was a panel interview with members from cross-functional teams (Product, Analytics, and Operations). Each interviewer had a unique perspective, and I was asked questions ranging from my approach to stakeholder management to how I’d handle specific Uber challenges. I appreciated that they were interested in how I would collaborate across departments, and it was clear they valued cross-functional alignment.

Entrevista
It was a standard process with recruiter reaching out to schedule an interview. After resume screen he told me that I will be talking to the Hiring Manager and another Senior Product OPs guy from the team.
The other 2 interviews were back to back of 30 minutes each. Questions were related to daily Ops challenges faced by Uber and your problem solving around it.

Took more than 1.5 months. One round with HR, then hiring manager then was asked to create a power point based case study which required a lot of research, time and effort to put everything together. Got rejected after that

Product decision related questions, how would you decide which feature to push, A/B tests etc
I never heard back. I applied through referral link and no one ever reached out. There was also no confirmation of application even which was a bit odd to me. Regardless of qualification, a confirmation that the application was received would have been nice.
