"Interview Experience: Disorganized and Misaligned Expectations Job Title: Project Manager / IT Project Manager Interview Rounds Conducted: 1. Prescreening via phone 2, Business Delivery Head screening via phone 3, Business Delivery Head + Senior Lead (Face-to-Face) 4. Director & Chairman round (Face-to-Face) Timeline: Over 1 month The interview process involved assessing technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. However, the timeline was unnecessarily prolonged due to the unavailability of the Director, requiring multiple follow-ups with HR to schedule subsequent rounds. Although the position was for an IT Project Manager, the Director's round heavily focused on SAP—a domain outside my expertise and not mentioned in the original job description. Upon seeking clarification from HR, I was informed that the role's requirements had changed mid-process. This lack of communication was particularly frustrating, as I traveled 350 km from my hometown, covered accommodation costs, and invested significant time and effort, only to find that the role no longer matched the advertised responsibilities. If the job requirements had evolved, the company should have updated the job description or communicated these changes beforehand. Unfortunately, the disorganized process and shifting expectations left me feeling disappointed and undervalued as a candidate. Advice to the Company: Ensure clarity in job descriptions and maintain better communication with candidates throughout the hiring process." Also, they had a new requirements, for which I was interviewed around 7 times with multiple panel for their Dubai (on-site) role, I had to travel to their office at Hyderabad for every round (in total 7 times), and they'll inform the schedule just before an hour or two, and later they didn't even care to update, even after 2 months, all I hear is no update, so it's totally waste of time, efforts, money, and self respect.
