The biggest red flag is the post-offer behavior. I accepted their offer and turned down other solid opportunities to join them. Because of a genuine personal emergency that delayed one email response by 24 hours, the founders withdrew the offer entirely. Even with a transparent explanation, they were cold and rigid.
This is not a "founder-led" culture; it is a "fear-led" culture. If they treat you this way during the "honeymoon phase" of hiring, imagine how they will treat you when you actually work there. Do not leave a stable job for this company, your job security is non-existent.
Pros:
The product has potential, and the initial interview stages move quickly.
Cons:
Volatile Management: The founders are prone to making impulsive, high-stakes decisions without considering the professional impact on the candidate.
Zero Work-Life Boundaries: They expect immediate responses even before your start date. If you aren't tethered to your email 24/7, they question your "seriousness."
Total Lack of Empathy: They do not care about personal or medical emergencies. A single day of silence due to a crisis is enough for them to rescind an offer you’ve already accepted.
Career Risk: They have no qualms about withdrawing an offer after you’ve already declined other companies and resigned from your current role, leaving you stranded.
