Shopify does a good job of giving you information you can use to prepare for your interview - however, their interview process is not consistent and really depends on your interviewers. I've had friends who had more system design questions for the same position. Furthermore, they are trying to follow the FAANG style of not telling you what team you're being considered for until you get a position - which is asking a lot of their candidates. Other than the recruiter, the rest of the interviewers were unfortunately not people I'd want to work with. My first interviewer was working as I was answering my first pair programming question and the rest of my interviewers were very dismissive (stereotypical zero social skills kind of developers) and left me very little time to ask them questions.
