      Entrevista de Technical Architect

      4 jun 2020
      Empleado anónimo
      Atlanta, GA
      Oferta aceptada
      Experiencia positiva
      Entrevista normal

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de la recomendación de un empleado. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Salesforce (Atlanta, GA) en abr 2020

      Entrevista

The interview was with the Customer Success team of Mulesoft and almost every round is technical. There were 6 rounds in total. 1. Technical interview with Technical Architect 2. Technical interview with VP 3. Managerial interview with Sr. Director 4. Develop Application project 5. Present the project to the panel 6. Blend of questions with one or more VP's I was referred by one of my ex-colleagues and I applied for the Technical Architect at their portal and I got a call from the HR explaining the interview process followed by scheduling the first round. The team that I was interviewed for is very mature. They interviewed me with an intention of selecting me and not with an intention of rejecting me. The entire process was very clear and smooth. The team made me feel that I am already part of the Salesforce family just after my first round of interview. I cannot say that interview was easy or average or difficult as it depends on the background one comes from. Having technical skills is good (can be mastered by anybody with training) but the thought process is the key to crack the interview.

First round was fairly technical - interviewer covered more topics, so more breadth than depth I would say. Second round was deep technical - was asked a lot of questions around JWT token and OAuth architecture. Also event driven integrations and asynchronous apex. You have to know your technical stuff to clear this round. Third round is hiring manager round - which is face-to-face. Hiring manager asks more of project experience and different stakeholder management. Also can ask technical questions.

Highly unprofessional interviewer. I wonder if they even have a process to ensure that the people who are taking technical interviews have any interview etiquettes. Specially when interviewing senior level candidates and that too considering Salesforce is a large company. Where do I start. Phew. 1: The interviewer arrived late. Did not turn on his camera, Did not introduce himself and directly started reading out some stuff from my resume. So no intro's at all. 2: He was not sure if it's the R1 or R2 interview. 3: While answering technical questions, the interviewer interrupted at every single line. Absolutely annoying. Wonder how these people talk to clients / stakeholders. 4: He even went on the the extend of questioning me about my certification and how I did not remember a certain thing. 5: When I mentioned about a large client that uses SF product. He went on to criticize the client as well as to how they are doing their own stuff. Mind it, this client is the largest client of salesforce in commerce cloud and has the highest billing. Absolutely negative experience. I am not sure why I even continued with the interview when at the very first question, I sensed lack of professionalism. Recruitment team and the management should look into this aspect. I am suspecting some Bias with respect to hiring.
