      Entrevista

The interview process consisted of three portions, a technical interview via telephone; an interview with management, also via telephone; and a third interview with the co-workers, who were on the technical interview call, via Skype. The team is spread across the country so this was a good solution and a much better option than flying a number of people to one location to meet face-to-face. The HR person who scheduled the interviews was extremely professional, and very pleasant. She was friendly and very helpful and accommodating when arranging the interviews around my schedule. The technical interview was, by far, the most enjoyable technical interview I have ever had. the questions were well thought out, covered a wide range of technologies, and both adequately tested the applicant's skill level and demonstrated the technical expertise of the people asking the questions. The people with whom I would have been working directly seemed intelligent, and very personable. They were professional, yet friendly. I would imagine that working with them would have been enjoyable. The management interview was what you would expect, the standard open-ended vague questions that non-technical people ask in interviews: "what was your greatest challenge", "where do you see yourself in five years", etc... That being said, the management team on the call, which included the man who would have been my manager, his manager and a "C" level executive, all were nice. The Third interview, via Skype, was interesting. It was great to be able to put a face to the names and voices of the people with whom I would be working directly. AS this was the second time speaking with them, and the fact that it was a reasonable facsimile to being face-to-face, the call was quite candid. Their responses to my questions were very honest, and having the video feed helped to see their reactions and get a better feel for their personalities. Again, I was left with the feeling that I would have enjoyed working with them. My overall experience would have been positive, except for interaction with one particular person (not mentioned above). Because of that incident (and I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he was just having a bad day), I have to give the overall experience a negative rating.
