Phone Interview then a Video Interview. I answered an online ad and was contacted by an HR representative. So far, so good. I passed that first phone interview and then was scheduled (by email) to have a 2nd interview on a predetermined date. Since I was unavailable on that day, I was happy that another date was available. This second interview was a video conference. Previous Glassdoor comments stated that interviewees met with a live person. This is something new and I had a red flag go up in the back of my mind. During the video conference, I asked about meeting with the potential supervisor at the location where, should I be offered the job, report to. This is not done. So another red flag went up. You don't meet your potential boss, nor do you meet any staff, or see the location where you would work until your first day reporting to work. Ummm..... I never got an offer and the background check found some issues, as one of my previous employers is a large company and didn't cooperate with employment verification. Oh, this is done by a 3rd party so when I had an issue, I couldn't speak to anyone to clear it up as it was almost impossible to get a live person to assist me.
